Meet the Designer

I first heard about homeschooling when I was 12 years old. It sounded like an awesome idea to me, so I promptly decided to homeschool my future children. Thankfully, I’ve been doing just that since 2006!
Of course homeschooling involves trial and error, so we’ve had our share of that. The course of true learning doesn’t always run smoothly.
It’s a good thing that we have the freedom to pivot when we need to along the way. I completely overestimated the amount of curriculum I would need to teach one 5 year old in kindergarten when my oldest was that age. I can look back and laugh now, but I remember being worried that I would miss something. Can you relate?
As it turns out, we’ve done just fine and my oldest is now a recent homeschool graduate, continuing her studies in web design and development. My two younger daughters are middle-school age and thriving in our delight-directed learning atmosphere.
How did we do it? With interest-led unit studies, lapbooks, and living books. I can help you do it, too!
